It's a hard choice whether to snack on chocolate or cheese, and now you don't have to choose! Our chocolate cheese is a delicious confection marrying the sweet and the savory. The cheese is a perfect offset to the sweetness of the chocolate. You can eat it straight, slice it on bread, or pair it with fruit. Or the very best—chocolate sheep cheese fondue.
What Is Chocolate Cheese?
Our chocolate sheep cheese is made with 100% sheep cream from our spring milking. We mix it with real cocoa and a little sugar. Don't be afraid to try it! We also offer a chocolate sheep cheese cookbook on our Other Products page, with lots of innovative recipes using chocolate sheep cheese. All our chocolate cheeses are produced year-round.
Smooth Chocolate Sheep Cheddar is our best seller. It can be grated, melted, or sliced right off the loaf to eat straight in sumptuous slices. We offer chocolate Sheep Cheddar both with nuts and without. The nutted variety reminds us of fudge. Our cheddar comes in dark chocolate and milk chocolate varieties. For pairing with sweeter items such as fruits, we recommend the dark chocolate, which has a stronger chocolate taste but is less sweet. The milk chocolate is an excellent accompanyment to any type of bread, be it sourdough or a sweeter dessert bread. The possibilities are endless!
Our creamy chocolate swiss is a spreadable delight. Your little lambs will love it, too! Spread it on pretzels; spread it on bread; spread it on pound cake! Or eat it right out of the package. It also works excellently in a chocolate cheese fondue; just add milk or cream to adjust the consistency (available on our Other Products page) and dip bread or fruit. Because of its soft consistency, it comes in small foil packages.
Another soft spreadable cheese, this is milder and less sharp than our Creamy Chocolate Swiss. It is suitable for use in any recipes calling for ordinary cream cheese and comes in a handy 8 oz foil package. Sheep Cream Cheese has a more distinctly cheesy taste than the cream cheese you may be accustomed to; you will love it. Great on bagels, too... and don't forget Chocolate Sheep Cheesecake.
